Obesity and Metabolism is a journal targeting obesity and metabolic disorders. Such diseases have now evolved into a serious challenge facing clinical practitioners worldwide. Being a threat to the structure of our society and life style worldwide, these pathologies need to be addressed and controlled properly to avoid what currently seems inevitable: their evolution into an epidemic of epic proportions. This journal aims at shedding some more light on the wealth of new data and new conceptual paradigms becoming available day after day, showing the complexity and intellectual beauty of obesity research and the molecular, cellular and physiological mechanisms involved in the regulation of metabolic homeostasis. “Obesity and Metabolism” includes original articles, review articles, editorials and hot topics. It is covered in Science Citation Index Expanded (also known as SciSearch®) and Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition.

“Obesity and Metabolism” has been recognized as having “high cultural value” by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
